Woodbury
Scholarship Fund’s 2nd annual family fun-filled day
“Go the Distance” is back in the spirit of its predecessor “Ride for
Rick” with a full venue of cycling, running, and walking events. There
are 4 cycling courses through the country-side to choose. There is a
timed 5K road foot race and there are walking courses to choose from. And, this year
we’ve added running events
for elementary school age
kids (G Events). All
are sponsored by the WSF through the help of many volunteers for the
benefit of qualified college bound Woodbury students. It’s a great way
for you and your family to support student education and enjoy the
outdoors. You can add to the excitement of the day
by participating
in our famous raffle and silent auction for chances to win some great
items.
Last year, “Go
the Distance” netted $30,000 with
proceeds fully
supporting student scholarships. Once again there are many ways to
become involved. Please, consider being a sponsor, a volunteer, or a
contributor to our raffle or auction. But most of all come to
participate and
enjoy the activities (and perhaps be a lucky raffle or auction winner).
The Woodbury
Scholarship Fund was founded in 1975
to support students
pursuing post - secondary education. It has since made over 600
scholarship awards to deserving students. The WSF also manages
endowments and grants for other community organizations, businesses and
individuals. For more information about the WSF, please visit our site
